The purpose of this service is to bring meals to people here at Highlands Church who are having surgery, adding a child to their family, or some other major event, in order to help that transition go a little more smoothly.

Information will be organized and communicated through mealbaby.com. Helpers will be able to sign up for a specific day, view all the relevant information (contact info, food issues, etc.), and even see what others are bringing so they don’t duplicate. An email reminder will be sent to the helpers the day before they've signed up to provide a meal.

For those providing meals: ideally meals would be large enough to eat more than once, freezable, and in containers you don’t mind not getting back. Meals can be homemade or store-bought, but hopefully will be a complete, balanced meal. However, this isn’t a necessity and any food is appreciated. You will receive notification of every opportunity to help; however, you are under no obligation to respond to every single request. Only do so if it's a good time for you.

For those who have a need: I'll send out your "meal registry" to the volunteer list, and also ask you for any email addresses of your friends/family who might be willing to provide meals and include them in your meal registry. I’ll also collect information about food allergies and dislikes, best times to drop off meals, and any other relevant information.
