Youth Group (Middle & High School)

Middle and high school youth will be sitting together in the service for the current series, “Justice for All” (middle section first 2 rows). After the service the youth will meet in the elementary classrooms until 11:50 am. Contact Jill at with questions.

At Highlands Church our Youth Group is a safe and inclusive space where we support our Middle & High School-aged youth in their spiritual journey as they shape their identity, learn how to build community with each other and the greater world, and recognize how ridiculously loved they are by God. We encourage self-reflection, personal expression, and questions, all as part of an open and respectful dialogue.

There are several ways we try to engage with our youth.  We incorporate a variety of speakers, teach applicable lessons from the bible, engage in small group discussions, play games, have fun together, and provide the youth opportunities to love and serve in our community.  Together we are discovering ways to “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God” (Micah 6:8).

We also have other fun social events throughout the year as well as opportunities for youth to serve alongside people in our community.
We would love for you to come check us out!

• The last Friday of every month the middle and high school youth groups make 100 sack lunches for a group of our friends experiencing homelessness. A group of us then take and deliver them at Civic Center Park.

• The Youth Group will be participating in one of the International Advocacy initiatives this year as we embark on a service trip to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua in June, 2018. More information to come soon on how to support our youth!
